January Volunteer Events

It’s a new year and we’ve got some changes over here at All Souls Denver!

Starting this month, we will be moving to a monthly event instead of weekly ones. This is not necessarily permanent, and we hope that we can eventually move back to more events per month.

We are hoping that with larger monthly events we can get more volunteers on board and serve even more members of our community than before.

We will have two volunteer opportunities per month. One being primarily for processing donations and preparing for outreach. The other will focus on either outreach programs or opening the community closet/food bank. Possibly a combination of those two if we have enough volunteers.

There might be extra events on months when we have a large number of volunteers, so keep watch for any communication about those.

We will be sending a monthly newsletter out that details the volunteer events that month, information on donations that we need, good news updates, and any information you may need. If you aren't signed up for our newsletter, you can do that here.

Other than that, you can always reach out to our Deputy Chief of Staff Ren by email with any questions. We love collaborating on ideas, so if you have a volunteer event in mind, please reach out.

January Volunteer Opportunities

  • Monday, January 13th from 10am-1pm we will be processing donations and preparing for our outreach event/opening the community closet and food bank. The more organized and prepared we are, the more people we can help. Set up days are just as crucial to All Souls as the actual outreach days.

  • Saturday, January 18th from 12pm-3pm we will be doing outreach to the unhoused in the area by taking out food, warm clothing, tents, and propane tanks. We will also open the community closet and food bank, provided we have enough volunteers, so pleas sign up as soon as possible so that we know if we have enough hands on deck to do both.

Donations We Are Currently Accepting

  • Winter outerwear

  • Tents (These need to be lightweight and portable. These people have to pack up every single day and they can’t use heavy, hard to put up tents.

  • Portable camping heaters

  • Baby supplies

  • Anything listed on our Amazon Wishlist

CHANGE IN DONATION PROCEDURE

We are no longer able to accept any donations on the front porch. Everything must be delivered BEHIND the building, in front of the black All Souls garage. There are new businesses in the building and All Souls is only operating out of the back.

DONATIONS LEFT AT THE FRONT ARE BEING STOLEN

It is important that you leave your donations out back in front of the garage instead.
